"FOOTBALL IS A SIMPLE GAME BASED ON THE GIVING AND TAKING OF PASSES, OF CONTROLLING THE BALL AND OF MAKING YOURSELF AVAILABLE TO RECEIVE A PASS."

U10s Whitburn & Cleadon Bees are part of WHITBURN & CLEADON JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB - one of the largest providers of junior football in South Tyneside and Sunderland - with 14 teams from under 7 up to under 17 years of age, plus a popular Sunday Development group.

We have FA3 and FA2 coaches, but all coaches hold minimum FA1 badge and are subject to CRB checks. The Club adheres to the FA Child Protection policy and offers a safe environment for youngsters to play the beautiful game.

Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
