On Sunday we were confirmed as league two champions . Tonight was our last game of the season against our old rivals Houghton Albion . This was going to be a cracker of a game as they were all fired up wanting to beat us so they could finish second and we were all fired up wanting to end the season undefeated .Well it looks like we wanted it more as within the first five minutes Matty s had put us one in front .This was a great start to the game but it was going to get better as in the next ten minutes Matty j and Chris had both scored .So fifteen minutes gone and it was three nil .This was unbelievable Houghton could not get the ball off us but what was even better was the fact every time we had the ball we had a shot on goal and in the last ten minutes of the first half Matty j and Chris both got a goal a piece taken the score at half time to five nil .Was this fantastic performance going to continue in the second half or would they start to make a come back . Well we got the answer within the first five minutes as James c got our sixth goal . The next twenty minutes we must have had about six shots on goal off various players but we could not get it in the net . It looked like it was going to stop that way as there was only about eight minutes left but Matty j and Chris had other thoughts on that and both scored again eight nil what a way to end a season lads .FANTASTIC . Undefeated all season . Nine clean sheets so well done to our keepers Dennis and Daniel . Fourteen away games twelve wins two draws . Fourteen home games eleven wins and three draws .117 goals for and 26 against
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
